Action/Drama (5-10 minutes)

Original fiction-based narrative short film, 5 to 10 minutes in length. Judging criteria places emphasis on technical and artistic aesthetics as well as quality of on-camera performances.

Comedy (3-15 minutes)

Almost anything you think is funny could work here. Generally speaking this type of entry tends to be a short narrative, but mockumentaries and other parodies work here too.
Technical and aesthetic quality still matter heavily, but can you make us laugh until a Junior Mint shoots out our nose?

PSA / Documentary (2-7 Minutes)

Must be intended to call attention to and/or announce a legitimate community event, concern, or issue.

Music Video (2-4 minutes)

Music Videos should include all original footage.
The song will not be judged. It is your interpratation of the song that truly matters. (Due to copyright law some music videos are subject to exclusion from public screening.)

Animated / Experimental Short (1-3 minutes)

This is by far the most wide-open category. Convention and conformity is strictly optional.
